Uncomplicated by K.M. Neuhold6/9/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() It's not so different from when I realized I was gay there was a moment where everything sort of clicked into place, and my whole body was like "Yes, that's what we've been trying to figure out all this time." At first, I thought maybe I should just let it go because it's not the kind of thing I can imagine my partner being into. I didn't know I could love someone the way I love him. Don't get me wrong, we have our fights and disagreements (mostly because I do irritating shit, and every once in a while, he reaches the end of his patience), but he is my other half in every way. For ten years, I've been living in complete bliss with Lars, the man of my dreams. Ten years ago, my best friend who I'd been in love with my entire life told me he loved me too. Wait, no, that's not really the beginning. Three weeks ago, I saw puppy play for the first time, and now I can't stop thinking about it. I suppose I should start from the beginning. What happens to a couple when one of them discovers a new kink that he's not sure his partner will be into? Dear Art, I'm sure you get messages like this all the time, but I feel like I don't even know who I am anymore. ![]()

Colleen hoover ugly love summary6/8/2023 ![]() ![]() “Don’t ask about my past,” he says firmly. ![]() On the one hand, I hated Miles due to his behaviour towards Tate, even if I hadn’t the right to feel this way. ![]() This story, those characters, and their relationship were so conflicting. I had a love-hate relationship with this one. They came to an agreement from the very beginning.īut was an agreement enough to prevent them from feeling something more than the mutual attraction they had? They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.Ī love story between two people, Miles and Tate, who weren’t ready to fall in love, or at least they thought so. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. ![]()

Movie called the shape of water6/8/2023 ![]() And for films like The Artist (2012) and Argo (2013), that proclivity to praise films about moviemaking resulted in Best Picture awards. The Oscars, after all, are professional guild awards that Hollywood awards to its own. It’s a beautifully shot movie with a story that follows the traditional arcs of a fairy tale romance.Īnd it’s also a tribute to “the power of cinema,” something the Academy loves to honor. Though the past few years of nominees were smaller independent features like Moonlight and Spotlight - the kinds of picks that genuinely surprised many prognosticators - The Shape of Water feels in many ways like a classic Academy pick. ![]() ![]() It also makes perfect sense as a Best Picture winner in 2018. The Shape of Water, from Guillermo del Toro, is a beautiful adult fairy tale about a fish-man ![]()
